This is a high quality potent probiotic. I'm not a dr, so I am just speaking from my personal experience. If you are new to taking probiotics, it is my personal experience that it's best to start with a lesser potency and build up to this one. This is a capsule, so if I wanted a smaller amount like a half, I would open the capsule into a cold beverage or sprinkle it into apple sauce or even straight into my mouth for a few days till the stomach settles, then continue with the regular dose.
